Dunn Powers Sox Past Tribe

The White Sox won 9-3 against the Indians on Friday at home to improve to 24-22 on the year. The team also improved their home record to 10-13 on the season as they try and get in the good graces of their hometown crowds. The Sox struggled at home last season as well, which is very demoralizing to any ball club. The team was able to power their way to a win with three homer in all on the day.

Sox Beat Twins at Home Thanks to 6th Inning Rally

The White Sox played the Minnesota Twins on Thursday in Chicago in a game that ended up having a lot of power shown by both teams. In the en, the White Sox won 11-8 to improve their record. The win came in large part due to a huge 6th inning from Chicago. Before that time the teams were neck and neck in the contest as each team was looking for a spark. Chicago got that spark they needed and then some as they exploded in that inning to cruise to victory.

Bulls Season Over

The Bulls became just the 5th number one seed to be toppled by the low seed in the playoffs on Thursday. This was after a 79-78 point victory by the 76ers who have now defeated the Bulls in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The win came in the final seconds of the contest after some big mistakes by the Bulls team.

Bulls Losses Mount on and Off the Court

The Bulls are now down 3-1 to the 76ers in the Eastern Conference first round of the NBA playoffs. The team had their star Derrick Rose go down for the remainder of the playoffs in game one of the series. Their latest injury came to Noah who twisted his ankle and could see some time missed. The team’s latest loss came in Philadelphia and ended 89-82 in favor of the 76ers. The Bulls now must win 3 straight games if they plan on getting deeper into the playoffs. This is extremely disheartening to Bulls fans that knew their team was the favorite coming into the playoffs.

The Bulls started and ended the game very poorly as they scored under 20 points in both the first and fourth quarters. The team scored just 15 in the opening quarter to fall behind 24-15 following the first. They came back by outscoring the 76ers 48-40 in the second and third quarters, which put them behind just one point going into the fourth quarter. There, they were outscored 25-19 by the 76ers to ultimately cost them the win. Boozer led the Bulls offense with 23 points in the contest.

Rose-less Bulls Lose in Game 2

The Bulls fell to the 76ers on Tuesday at home against the 76ers. The team was without Derrick Rose who will miss the rest of the playoffs due to a torn ACL he suffered in the Bulls game 1 win. The series is now tied 1-1 in the Eastern Conference first round. The 76ers fell way behind early, but were able to dominate the 2nd half to get a convincingly big victory.
