The Bears will face the Jaguars in Florida this Sunday at 4:05 PM. The game will be played at EverBank Field while featuring the 3-1 Bears against a Jaguar team that has 1 win. Chicago is coming off a huge win Monday night that saw them dismantle the Cowboys and send the team into a spiraling mess of speculation and negativity. Despite the win, Jay Cutler did have time to show why he needs a quick intervention before he goes too far.
In Chicago’s win, Bears Offensive Coordinator Mike Tice tried to sit by Cutler to go over play. As soon as Tice sat, however, Cutler got up and walked away. A week earlier he pushed his left tackle and got in his face for giving up a sack. Jay must mature and be a better leader and needs to be willing to talk over issues to come to solutions. His temper will soon get the best of him if he can not fix this problem that has been well documented since coming into the league. It can be noted that this was early in the game when the team was not having as much luck as they later would. It also should be noted, however, that Jay is not single-handedly winning games by any means. Two of Monday’s touchdowns were scored by Chicago’s defense.
The Jaguars lone win this season came against the colts in the closing seconds of their game in Indianapolis. After the Colts were able to take a late win, the Jaguars hit on a huge 80 yard passing play that resulted in a winning touchdown. The Jaguars have been one of the leagues worst, however, and have just over 250 total yards and 15 points on average this season.
